The company is promoting the reduction of pollution emissions and use of natural resources. Systemics-PAB has chosen a green energy supplier, and the company strategy is to replace its car fleet with electric vehicles by 2030.

Actions to reduce emissions from transportation
Systemics-PAB is a leading provider of telecom network monitoring and independent Quality of Experience benchmarking services for mobile operators, equipment vendors and regulators. Our main operational work is related to the usage of cars and portable devices equipped with specialized measurement tools – all aimed to perform cellular network measurements both outdoor (drive-tests) and indoor (walk-tests) in a professional and safe manner. And we always perform our work with respect to the environment. Our petrol cars are marked with the DEKRA quality label – allowance to enter city centres.

By 2030, Systemics-PAB is planning to drive tests with electric vehicles all where possible. From March 2024 the company uses 2 electric powered Kia Niro cars on daily basis for a customer in Germany, and 1 electric Volvo at different locations. The new Kia Niro are in the premium type L ensuring the highest comfort and safety for employees.

The first trail of an electric car used for commercial benchmarking measurements we performed for Vodafone end of 2022 and during the trial we covered all typical measurement scenarios – cities, combination of towns and connecting roads, motorways. Also, we assessed the practical range of electric cars in winter conditions. This proof of concept was part of our plan to introduce electric cars in our measurements as a permanent solution. Conclusions of the trial are that the best type of area to measure for an electric car are cities or towns with relatively short connection roads with an average limit of 300km daily. It is more than 50% of measurements that we typically do in our projects, explained Michał Majewski, Head of International Sales at Systemics-PAB.

Actions to reduce energy consumption
The company’s usage of electricity is related to the general office work facility and computer server room. The reduction of energy consumption is executed through technology or equipment upgrades.

We pay the highest attention to both minimize electricity consumption and choosing responsible green suppliers. From March 2024 we are served by the Respect Energy S.A. where the structure of primary energy consumed for electricity generation includes 0% share hard coal, 0% share of lignite coal, and 0% of natural gas. In December 2021 the photovoltaic panels were installed on the roof of our office in Warsaw. There is also a plan to implement a rainwater collection system and a heat pump”, claims Paweł Biskupski, CEO of Systemics-PAB.
The office desk work is based on a cloud system. Devices used in the office are equipped in technologies that optimized energy consumption. In addition, our server room/systems minimise energy consumption during days off/weekends/public holidays. In addition, outside our premises we have motion sensor lighting system to minimize electricity consumption, internally we have invested in a low energy lighting system.

Actions to reduce waste
Systemics-PAB has long had a practical approach to waste segregation amongst its employees. This was formalized in 2020 the company implemented “a minimum waste practice” as part of its contribution to environmental protection. This coincided with the availability of itemized waste collection information available from a new waste disposal supplier. Employees are regularly informed and monitored regarding waste segregation and recycling possibilities. The proportion of recyclable waste represents approximately 60% out of the nearly one-ton of total waste produced yearly.

Waste computer equipment and small items like used batteries are collected and then delivered to the recycling collecting points. Used up ink cartridges are collected and replaced/refilled by the companies that maintain our printers. All printers are set up by default to print on two-sided mode.
